Will grew up in the small, historic town of Selma, Alabama. He and his family were drawn to Roswell because of its similar charm and history. Morthland is a small-business partner for MortgageRight Roswell. Prior to his work with MortgageRight, Will worked in the financial services industry serving in various roles from branch manager of a national bank, national bank auditor, and a state bank examiner. Will brings over fifteen years of financial management experience to the City of Roswell.
Will recognizes Roswell’s tremendous growth in recent years and is excited about being a part of the changes for the city and moving the city forward for future generations. Will believes it is important to expand and invest in the city’s strengths, like its exceptional parks and recreational programs, all without sacrificing what residents have come to know and appreciate about Roswell.
Morthland has been rooted in volunteerism over the years, serving as a volunteer coach and Cub Scout leader for the district. Will is a proud Eagle Scout. Will received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
