Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice Plan
As an entitlement community eligible to receive assistance under the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs, the City of Roswell is required by Federal Regulation to submit fair housing certifications to HUD annually. To meet these requirements, the City developed an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice Plan (AI). The Plan was adopted in July 2013 and can be viewed here. Hard copies are available upon request. For more information about the purpose of an AI please see HUD's Fair Housing website.

City of Roswell Public Notice of FY2017 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice Plan
The City of Roswell has completed a draft FY2017 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice Plan (AI) and is seeking public review and comment. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires communities that receive federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to complete an AI to coincide with the City of Roswell's Five Year Consolidated Plan. The AI identifies potential impediments to fair housing choice, in which individuals of similar income levels in the same housing market may have limited housing choice because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or familial status. The AI reviews public and private policies, practices, and procedures affecting housing choice and recommends actions to address any identified potential impediments.
