Public Meeting: TSPLOST Transportation Projects

The City of Roswell will host two public information meetings to solicit input from the community regarding transportation projects that could be included on the City’s TSPLOST (Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) project list.

In November 2016, citizens throughout Fulton County may vote on a potential five-year TSPLOST referendum to fund transportation projects in their cities. Such a referendum would bring a projected $93 million to the City of Roswell for transportation improvements. All cities must present their lists of potential TSPLOST projects to Fulton County by the end of May 2016 to meet the November ballot deadline.

Please attend one of the following meetings to learn more about the proposed projects and to help us prioritize the project list. An online survey (which requires residents to include their address to ensure the accuracy of the data collected) is available for those who are not able to attend a meeting.

Tuesday, May 3
Roswell City Hall

Roswell, GA 30075
Room 200B

Thursday, May 5

The TSPLOST referendum that voters may be considering in November includes a 0.75% (3/4 of a cent) sales tax that would authorize transportation projects specifically recommended by each community. A list of projects from across Fulton County will be finalized by July 2016. If authorized, the vote will take place in November 2016.

Fulton County has prepared a detailed list of Frequently Asked Questions  that provides in-depth information on the legislation allowing the referendum, potential revenues, and distribution of funding.
