Riverwalk: Postcards from the American South
Featuring Song of Atlanta Show Chorus
April 15, 2023, 1:30 - 3:30 PM
Free and open to the public at the Roswell Riverwalk Boardwalk
Step under the canopy of trees, follow the boardwalk over the river, and travel back in time to the sounds of a cappella quartets. Experience the river and scenery, and listen to melodies like those that echoed along the shores a hundred years ago. These are free events for all those who frequent the Riverwalk and for those first-timers looking to tour one of Roswell's most beautiful and unique features.
Roswell Riverwalk is a multi-purpose greenway that parallels the Chattahoochee River, and is part of the overall Riverwalk that runs across Bull Sluice Lake from Azalea Drive to Willeo Road.
Atlanta's own Song of Atlanta Show Chorus excites audiences and creates tender and memorable moments through their diverse musical répertoire. Members of this internationally acclaimed chorus have found a home through a shared passion for singing and a love of performing. Song of Atlanta is a Sweet Adelines International (SA) a cappella chorus based in the Greater Atlanta area. The chorus is a diverse set of women of all backgrounds who share a passion for joining voices to create beautiful harmonies. Three groups of singers will be on site at Roswell Riverwalk on April 15 to welcome you and take you on a musical journey along the river.
This event offers a series of site-specific mini-concerts, where audience members travel the boardwalk to hear the performers play in different locations, so put on your walking shoes, bring your family (let the dog stretch their legs too!), or just stop by and say hello to the staff and artists at this family-friendly event! This event is accessible to those patrons with walkers and in wheelchairs too.
Parking is available in the clearly marked lots along Azalea and Willeo Road. Come early to secure spaces closest to the event!
