Special Called Public Forum: East Roswell Economic Action Committee Report

The City of Roswell will host a Special Called Public Forum on Monday, March 2, to share the findings of the East Roswell Economic Action Committee Report, which identifies existing economic development challenges and provides recommendations for potential opportunities east of Warsaw Road.

The forum will be held at the East Roswell Recreation Center, 9000 Fouts Road, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
During this forum, members of the East Roswell Economic Action Committee (EREAC) will present a report resulting from EREAC’s work during its initial term of service from Feb. 2019 to Feb. 2020. The report includes topics ranging from economic planning and development, to transportation, character areas, and community facilities. The forum will include a question-and-answer portion, as well opportunities for attendees to provide public comment and submit written comments.

EREAC was the initiative of Mayor Lori Henry and was established by Mayor and Council to provide the governing body with recommendations on ways to stimulate and revitalize the eastern portion of the City. The committee comprises 10 community volunteers, most of whom live or work in east Roswell, as well as the City Administrator, Director of Community Development, and Executive Director of Roswell Inc, the City’s economic and business development organization.

The findings that will be presented were also shared at a recent Special Called Work Session on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.
See more information and video/audio of this meeting.
